6095 no fish care during feed pause

Hi Roger, I've just picked up a pair of 6095's and neither of them are performing the fish care function during feed pause - can you tell me if this is normal on this pump as it used to work on my 6055? Thanks, Andy

I would double check. Fishcare was changed over a year ago, it is less dramatic now and this was done to reduce noise, instead of a couple full turns it is now just a twitch, the prop moves 1/4-1/2 turn and then tends to rock back into the position it was in to begin with. This should occur every 20 seconds.

Hi Roger, hmm just checked and there's no twitch. They are used and i just put them straight in the tank so I guess maybe they need a soak in vinegar? They look pretty clean though but I'll pull the impellars etc. has there been any change in the 6095 spec yet, I'm not sure exactly how old these are? Regards Andy

This change was made in late 2010 as I recall, I think all 6095's should be this way but all later pumps of all other models as well. You might check they are clean, I have seen pumps before where the fish care twitch was sometimes non existant, sometimes just a 1/8-1/4 turn. Usually these are from late 2010 early 2011 when the change was first made.
