6100.10

Hi Roger, I have an older stream 6000 pump. The number on the powerhead is 6100.10. It has ceased to function. I have another tank with 4 of the same pump, so I did some connection switching and it seems the actual powerhead is the part that failed. Is there a repair option? Do you still have these parts? or am I in the market for a new setup?

The motors are no longer made, we do have an upgrade option, 6100.015, this is on our site, you can order it and it is a 6105 pump with power supply and an adapter clamp for your old holder. You can sell your old driver likely as many people need them, you can also send me your pump and I will credit you $40 for the driver if it works, but if you use this option, send it in and I will call to take your order, I have no way to credit or discount orders made on the website.

On this tank we are using the pump on the magnet holder. Is the adapter clamp good for that? or even necessary? I changed all the connections with working pumps, so the pump is the only thing that does not work. Would you want the whole thing back(pump, driver, transformer)? or just the driver? I was thinking of keeping at least the transformer, as I have four other 6000s in my 180g. I can keep it as a back up.

Drivers are no longer made and since they often get wet, it is probably best to keep it as a spare, to mount the 6105 to an older magnet holder, you do need the included adapter clamp, the new magnet holder is more compact, that is really the only advantage of just getting a new 6105.
