6100 brown series (Roger)

When I went to clean the pump I noticed that there are three tabs to hold the cover on. I noticed that one is broken and that they're is a hole going into the housing Any thoughts or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

There is supposed to be a hole on the front edge of the motor block and there is only two tabs. From memory the hole is at the 10 or 11 oclock position, it lets water fill the housing.

As Shawn said, there is a sort of tear drop shaped hole to allow water to fill the void space in the pump housing. There are only 2 tabs to hold the housing on.

Thanks Roger and Shawn I thought I broke my pump. I guess now I can continue to clean my pump as noted on this forum.
