the light im runnning now is the coralife aqualightpro with 1x 150w MH and two 96wPC...

i would like to upgrade to two MHs and possibly no actinics, just 20ks in the MH..

whats my best bet as in (setup wise) (price) thank you guys

I went with two 250 14k coralvue MH setup.... cheap $$ products that have worked great for me. Here is a FTS:

mh and t5 is the best setup i think.

my tank has similar dimensions i have 2x250w 14k mh and it works great but i would love to have some t5 actinic for morning and night.

i dont know about your experience with coralife, but i purchased the exact light that you seem to want. it was the aqualight advanced, which has 2X150W metalhalides and no other secondary lights. i was not pleased. the first time i went o tchange the bulb, the housing for it broke. i was not being rough or careless. i changes the bulb the same way ive always changed halides.

so after getting no help at all from the store i purchaes from, i called coralife. i had to go through three people, who all seemed very upset that they had to speak to me (when all i did was call the number from the website), and i finalyl got to the customer serice gentleman. his extension went straight to voice mail. over the next five days i called three additional times, all during typical office hours. not one responce. i then emailed him a very specific description of the problem, and specifically said that i was interested in purchasing a replacement, and that i knew i was past warrentee (with my own money), he responded saying i need to fax over the serial number and dated receipt to possibly qualify for a warentee replacement, and that i should include pictures of the broken piece. i then sent a second email with nine pictures, each showing a different angle, adn in every picture the piece was highlighted. after a week of nothing, i sent the email again, and even included a video of the light running with the broken piece. nothing.

since then i have sent four emails and called three times with no feedback or responce at all.

so the first time i come into contact with the light, excluding turning it on, it breaks on me. and no one will help me. i now am going to have to pretty much give it away

:D  but im hear sunpods are nice!! :D

I use the Sunpod 36" 2x150w that came with the 12 moonlights and the 14k DE bulbs. The unit is 1 yr old now and I am about to replace the bulbs with 2 10k 150w Aqualine AB blubs.
I added 21w t-5 actinic and when I replace the bulbs, I will add an additional 21w of act.
Even before I added the t-5, I loved the Sunpod. It was very bright and the stock 14k bulbs had a crisp white light. growth was great too. Now that Im switching to more SPS, Ive decided to go with the 10k bulbs with more actinic to see if I can get more growth.
I definitely recommend it.

Heres a pic with the stock 14k bulbs and 21w t-5 actin.
