700g in the mix-

Very Nice Joe. That's one sweet 700 gallon tank, especially for being a tad over 2 years old. I really like the side shots :)

Steve-tons of tunze lol- nothing like your guys's 6300's though

Thank you guys!! The re-adjusting of rockwork and making room for chalices has been an evolution- I only had a couple chalices when the tank began but that has changed and I really like the color they add-trying to get the best of both worlds. Being an SPS guy at heart- it's been an adjustment for me and the tank. I like how the bottom looks without too much clutter so that is the ongoing battle for me-location,location,location :)

BTW, how do you keep your sand so white!!! :eek2:  I still can't get over how ginormous that thing is.

That looks great, Joe. I think yours and Leonardo's tanks have convinced me to go BB.

I agree Joe(Jflip), this tank is a clear example that sand is not necessary to create a beautiful tank.
Coincidentally I decided to add a SSB next month during my rebuild. In a tank without much liverock and a large surface (like the Lagoon) it is much less aesthetically pleasing. But I'm sure you won't regret it! :)

Joe, how do you keep the bottom of the tank that clean? Is your Cleanup crew able to handle that?
Again, beautiful tank. Even in the FTS photo you really experience the depth of the tank, and that is one of the hardest things to capture IME.

Leonardo

Thank you Joe-I like my BB still and Leonardo's 1st forest was and is inspiriing-

Leonardo-Congrat's on your graduation and looking forward to the Forest part 2- keep on blazing new trails for us all. The clean up crew helps but I do scrape it once in a while- I havn't in a couple months though but coraline doesn't grow in this tank for some reason so that helps :) -thanks Joe

Thanks Joe! On to my next graduation, Marine Biology. But that will still take a couple of years :D

Leonardo

Hey Joe, how do you feel about a black bottom for BB? The leemarr came painted black already. Think thatd still look alright?

Thank you Volcom!!

Mark-coming down soon so start cleaning for pics :)

Joe- the black would look awesome when really clean- but if its not it may show up everything-

WOW, crazy FTS for sure :D I am soooo jelous...not only 700gal but absoluty full of prime stuff :) Soo Cool

In the FTS above.....is that your blonde naso that was in the frag tank shot earlier? The fish I am talking about is in the upper left dorner of the tank going away from you??? Looks like he is loving life in the big tank for sure....nice and fat and healthy :D

Chad

That is sweet Steve- your water must be cleaning up real good- soon buddy, trying to set up my "reefers to see" list :)

Chad that is my unicorn I am trying to send to Mark(MG21) he runs the tank just in front of the PB-he is a plump sucker and he caused the blonde naso to tap out-:( when I tried adding it from the frag tank to the display the unicorn wasn't having it-thanks!
