I can't even sleep lastnight. Keep on thinking about him picking on the Barriene, Spotted Cheek and Fowleri... I will do everything i can to get him into the sump today. He will be happy there cuz he will have plenty of algae to eat..

hey joe,
how do you like your closed loop??? i never thought of making a stand the way you did with the rocks on it....i have had alot of people talk me out of closed loops because of the maintince on them.....is there really anything special about servicing them or do you even need to besides pump cleanings etc..... i mean i would think you never have to get in the tank and move the rocks or it would be a mess lol.....i have never ran one so i really have no clue what the up keep is on one????

I like my CL's because I hate detritus build up under my rocks-you can get away with powerheads mounted low blowing through, but I have to maintenance my Tunzes more then my CL's- you use more power and add more heat with CL's though-
I changed both seals on my darts this past weekend-easy to do-

but I would never drill out the bottom of your tank-find a way to come in high on one of the 4 sides and pipe down on the inside of the tank that way you can break siphon and your tank won't drain out too far if a bulkhead or pump sprung a leak-hope that helps

ya i was thinking the same thing about keeping them high like you did if i go this route....thanks for the info joe........
hmm.
decisions decisions......that style you run prolly would'nt be a good idea with a sand bed huh????lol....i know for sure i want a sand bed not sure if im gonna go deep or not but i for sure want one....:)

finding someone to share ain't easy

Thats the number one rule of the C.B.L

Yeah no doubt-glad I don't live by those rules cus they're weak like the people that live by them
