7096 problem

Hi Roger thought I would post you as your not a sponsor in any of the UK forums, my 7096 is about 1 year old and has been updated to latest firmware (1.1.0.8) works ok, pc see's it, can sent to unit, but, cant receive from unit can you help

If it is a Mac, this is a known issue, it will not receive from unit, it is possible this bug is on the last PC upgrade. A new upgrade should be available in the fall which addresses this for both platforms.

Mr Tunze visited a couple weeks ago and the plan now is to have an update for Windows, OSX as well as new iOS and Android versions ready in April 2014. It will include firmware bug fixes for the receive from unit in OSX as well as adding some new features for all versions. Basically, we are so close to the new version of software, they didn't feel it was worthwhile to port over the current version so the Mac will skip a generation of software.

I have good news and bad news on this front.

The good news is a version for OSX, iOS and Android is coming very soon with many new features. The bad news is that it will only work for the new 7097 which will be released in July. The reason it is not compatible is the 7097 uses a different processor and replaces USB connectivity with Bluetooth. Initially, we had assumed this would work on the 7096 but the processor differences prevent this.

I have been told that as soon as this is done they plan to work backwards and make these updates with as many of the features as possible for the 7096.
