7096

Well, we can rule that out, I expect an answer tomorrow or Friday, can you please PM me your address so when I have the solution we can send it ASAP.

Roger-

I just stumbled onto this thread and I am having the same problem. 2 6105's on a 7096 controller, both with 24V jumpers installed. Did you ever figure out a solution?

Marc

bump...

It's OK if you don't have an answer yet, as I can still use the food timer with the usb connected, just please let me know that you saw this....

Thanks

Yes, we know about it, it is a glitch in the 7096, it essentially is reset by the fish care function at 24V there is some small spike that occurs and convinces the pump/controller that it is stalling and this triggers a safety shut down. We are working on it and it will be solved, hopefully by a software update, but worst case we know a capacitor could be added to the board and will solve it for sure. Running one pump at 18V will also solve this problem.

So if you have 2 pumps, run 1 24v other 18v and should have no problem with feeder mode?
Also 18v is supposed to come with the 6105 correct?

I'm having the same problem with my two 6105s and 7096 both at 24V.

I'd rather run both pumps at 24V.

What is the latest on the fix?

I am not 100% sure, but an update was added May 15, I believe this update solved the issue. I may be wrong and it is an update that is not online yet, I know it has been solved and either it is available now or will be soon after a bit more testing and debugging.

Was there ever an update for this? Mine are doing the same thing so i changed one pump to 18V and works fine however I want both pumps at 24V. Please advise.

It is worth trying the latest 7096 software update on Tunze.com, however, this problem is complicated and can just as well be an issue in the pump or power supply. I would start with updating the 7096 and we will take it from their.

FWIW, I had been having this problem with my 6205's for quite some time. I presume these pumps are 24V.

I downloaded and ran the latest Windows update a while back ( the latest update is over a year old BTW ) and I haven't had a feed timer issue since.

Sure would be nice if we could get a Mac update... I had to run the Windoze update on a neighbor's computer.

Yes, I know we have fallen down on the update for the Mac. I hate to make excuses but I would like to at least explain why this has not happened yet. We have 1 programmer and right now he has been focused on the 7097 which is way behind, it should have been out in February, it is now slated for October, the 7097 is essentially the 7096 but it runs our LED lights and part of the complication without letting too much out is we will have more powerful LED's with more colors of LED blended in, being released around the same time and the 7097 will add bluetooth connectivity and with luck an Android and iOS app. All of this will eventually be ported to the 7096 to run pumps, but the focus on this has taken away from finishing up the update for the Mac. It will come and hopefully this all raps up around Oct/Nov.
