We spent the entire morning cutting excess silicon, it was fun! The guys from Reef Aquaria Design are awesome, some of the most knowledgeable guys in the business. I really can't wait to start stocking this beast.

I just got a call from the individual taking care of my 210 gallon holding system in Florida, tank temp hit 92 degrees after the chiller pump failed :mad2::mad2::mad2:.

I lost a few frags and was very worried about losing the entire tank. Fish are okay and the more importantly the blue ridge I have had for 13 years is still with us. Ill get some pictures up of that temporary tank later this week.

Awesome build--1st class all the way around. Where did you get you 2 miles of flex PVC from if you don't mind me asking?

Wow... I really wish I went glass after seeing this. VERY VERY nice!!! I am a firm believer in doing it right the first time and clearly, you are doing it right! Keep the pics coming. It looks like things are going to kick into high gear in a real hurry now! I'm subscribed!

You couldn't pay me to go acrylic, ever. I had so many bad experiences with acrylic that it never even came up as an option. These guys have done 4,000 gallon tanks in glass with no problems, some that are up and running for 15-20 years. I will post up some more pictures of the intense bracing they finished up this week. The tank is really over engineered, but I like it that way. :fish2:

Okay more updates. We put a limestone tile along the back and far side of the tank. The limestone tile does a few things, it does help with PH a bit, it frees me from having to clean the back of the glass and it also acts as a nice place for corals to grow on. This is pretty much a signature item for any tank that RAD builds and I think its great.

Also the glass build is finally done!!! The last few pieces were put into place for bracing and now we wait 3 weeks as it drys for our first fill with fresh water. I can't wait...:celeb1:
