9002 & bio pearls/nutri fix

Hi

I read an earlier post saying the 9002 has no inlet but works by osmotic diffusion.

The requirements of products such as bio pearls, nutri fix etc that encourage bacteria to reduce phosphates and nitrates is for the effluent of the pearls to go straight into the skimmer.

I have directed the effluent in the general area of the skimmer but do you think that would still work?

I think it should work, if the effluent is from a small tube like an airline at a low flow rate, you could drill a small hole in the back of the 9002 near the bottom to feed it directly into the skimmer.
