9410 and ozone input

Hi Roger:

just looking at my 9410 and where the ozone could be injected into, and it appears that the input is around the height of the foam area. I always thought ozone in a skimmer is more effective in thw body if the skimmer or am I missing something. It would appear the ozone would simply bypass the foam and escape.

You are pumping the ozone into the middle chamber that the skimmer pump draws the air from (assuming it is assembled correctly and the air hose is attached to that chamber). The ozone would be drawn into the pump, you just need an ozone generator and an air pump that does less than 100l/hr. If you use too strong of an airpump you will pump in more air than the pump can draw in and ozone will escape.

Thanks Roger, had another look and you are right the ozone goes into the middle chamber which would then be reabsorbed into the water column. The skimmer cup neck stops the ozone from entering directly into the foam area of the neck.
