9410 Extremely Noisy

Picked up a gently used 9410 and it is horribly noisy. Something is definitely wrong. the impeller looks fine, but I notice unlike other impellers the ceramic shaft seems seized to the impeller, it does not turn at all. Shouldn't the ceramic shaft turn freely within the impeller?

Ok from reading some other posts it appears the ceramic shafted is fused to the impeller by design. Managed to fix it up somehow, guess one of the bearings at either end was out of line. Seems to be working fine. not getting a lot of skimmate out of it yet, just dry foam.

The shaft should spin freely in those end ceramic bushings and you want to be sure the bushings are firmly seated in the pump.

Yes, the shaft is fixed to the impeller. They are together and should not separate.
