9410 Skimmer Noisy

Hello:

Put a 9410 skimmer back in service that has been in storage for a while. Seems louder than normal from what I remember, impeller looks ok, but noticed one of the silicone plugs that surrounds one of the ceramic bushings is split. Needs replacement, is this the reason for the noise?

Yes, that would allow some play and movement in that part.

Thanks Roger, may as well just spring for a new impeller, gives me new bearings and silicone plugs.

Seemed to be getting noisier. Pulled out the impeller to have another look, and there was a bulge on the impeller, looks like it's toast. New impeller on the way.
