Carbon reactor.

See post below which is on previous page. Its just a nice looking and smartly designed carbon reactor.Where can I read up on this?

Carbon reactor (custom made in Taiwan)"¦
Small enough but high quality (using magnetic to connect glass tube and base set) easy to place anywhere in sum. I hope it can increase my carbon efficiency and extend expired date ;-)

Battery and accessory to avoid power outage"¦. The idea is simple. When power outage happen (unfortunately, power outage over 24 hours may happen in Taiwan), one of my Tunze pump will switch from DC power to battery for over 48 hours before battery dead. Since I place my Tunze pump half inch lower than water level (water level when power off), one pump should create enough wave and air in main tank, especial when I am traveling.
Although I like Taiwan SPS low price and easy frags sharing environment, but due to hot summer and unpredictable power outage, plus my frequent business trips, I better plan well to overcome these challenges ;-(
Let me know if any safe tips or advices you have...
Thanks. After a few more post, I will address some problem I am facing now ;-(

good catch, did you check for eggs? better get a qt set up just in case. is bayer advanced available in taiwan?
Did you inspect the bases/frag plugs for eggs etc? I would be $heet scared to put those in my tank! Did you place them in the tank or in quarantine?
.....
That's one great looking reactor! Never came across one like that. Does anyone have a link to manufacturer or a shop where I could get one (or 20 for other german reefers)?
I'm just loving this thread! All those dosing units make me go :hmm5: but your corals show me you are doing it right. I'm always checking for updates! Keep up your great work!
hi shih 87. your tank is really amazing. Nice corals you have there. many gems in your tank.
do you know any taiwan LFS willing to ship coral to Singapore or any online purchase?
Shih; those are much better shots. I shoot in manual. I turn off all pumps, set shutter speed to about 80 or 100, and try to use f16 to obtain max depth of field. Use higher ISO if required. You have a newer camera than me so the noise level should be much less at high ISO.
Thanks so much for the reactor explanation. It's quite a brilliant idea. Using magnets to hold in place. Space saving and sleek.
Your photography skills are great!!!
Those close up pics of acros are really beautiful!
The flat worm is scary!!!
