A corner in Taiwan

Glad to see you STN stop. KNO3 is still very effective, last year I know if this way can also be estimated for a few pieces of SPS. Don't listen to 源大 said KNO3 before.

It seems KNO3 dosing work on some SPS, see another one below (not as obvious as previous one).... However, I still have a few SPS frags no sign of Zooxanthellae recovery by KNO3 dosing for 10 days ;-(

My March 2014 update. Since I use KNO3 to increase NO3 and buildup of extra Zooxanthellae, the whole tank looks darker ;-) ;-(

BTW, what I encountered early seems bleaching (see above picture) so adding NO3 help to recover from it"¦ I don't think increasing NO3 help me recovery from STN, which I was wrong before.

Darker is better than lighter to be honest. In my experience when corals get light or thin skinned they are more susceptible to rtn/stn etc.

FTS looks great still. Love how the Chromis are sweeping through the stags! Beautiful!

Yes, that FTS is ridiculous! Looks like a forest of stags. Are you having any problems with corals being shaded out?

Thanks guys. Well, at least my SPS looks stronger now than one month ago. I stop KNO3 about 10 days, and this one continue recovery....

That has improved a lot. Well done on that. How is the brown algae situation?

Hi Sahin,

My algae grow slow than before but not complete solved yet. I think it slow down due to light period cutting. Anyway, it is very close to turn down my tank and move to new house and new tank:dance:.... I will start trying some new experience (dosing KNO3 is the first one) for the rest of months.

Cheers,

Yes I can view the image, thanks. How is the frags doing, any pics.

Thanks for asking.

My frag holder is suffering with algae as you can see below. However, strong spa seems can fight over algae and have good tissue cover base rock.

For the entire April and May, I feel a bit boring on current tank since knowing gonna move to new house in next couple months and start my new tank. Old tank here won't get much of my attention now, but new tank project is excited.

Here are my tank pictures and how it may look like in new home.
The tank will be 132 x 90 x 60, but sump will be longer to 160 cm. I couldn't decide I should have canopy to hide my light or keep it open.
Shot me some suggestions if you have. Thank, guys.
