Thanks very much. I mainly just feed the fish and let them feed the corals but I do dose "sponge power" twice a week and I also stir the sump detritus every few weeks after lights out which gets recycled through the return pumps back to the corals.

I seem to remember a old school reefer using a glass rod to stir up detritus in the sand to feed coral.
Your tank is incredible! One day I'll get there. Well can dream anyway

If you are reading my old build thread from 2008 you will need some time because it is a long read. :reading: Actually had quite a few people following that thread back in the day.
After seeing pictures you sent me of your tank I think you are on the right track.

When coral branches get close to touching I prune them but where they encrust the rock and grow into each other I let them duke it out.

Thanks a lot. I try to test every couple of weeks but sometimes don't get to it when I should.
Ca, alk, mag, K, SG, temp is what I check.
