Just a few pics to share, nothing exciting. Click on the pic to see a bigger version.

Montipora (I believe it was called a chili monti)

Plate Coral

Rainsford Goby

ORA Red Gonipora

Favia

Can anyone help ID these? The first looks like some kind of algae. It doesn't seem to be spreading very quickly, nor does it seem to be going away. The second has been growing slowing for some time and is just now big enough to actually see/get a pic of. Any thoughts?

KEWL volunteer! do you have pink pocilopora in your tank? How long have you had the flower pot I know they can polyp bail successfully. The first is a slimy red grape type algae, pretty, but I did have it get out of control in a more nutrient system.

I'm not sure if what I have is a pink stylophora or a pink pocillipora... I think it's a stylo. I've only had the flowerpot for a couple of weeks - got it at the ABC swap.

First one is red valonia. I'd do my best to get it out of there, don't rupture it if you can avoid it. It can be quite pesky. Second one kinda looks like stylocoeniella maybe? Just taking a shot, could be any number of things, stylophora, pocci, as mentioned above. Love the black and white sand BTW. I used to have it in one of my tanks. Cool look, working for ya.

I have had the red bubble algae reach plague proportions, in my biocube a couple years ago. On two occasions a scopas tang was found to be a good grazer for this algae. Then all the red bubble algae was replaced with green bubble algae. In my opinion, I think red is less annoying to look at because it appears to look just like coralline algae.
