awesome! I was recently snorkeling in saint lucia and saw so much stuff I would have loved to share! Totally going to spring for the underwater camera next time. It's so much fun snorkeling, and add in being a reef nerd and knowing where to look for different fish/inverts..... So much fun

Great pics. The two not sure pics look to be some sort of Wrasse and possibly a Grouper from above. Kind of hard to tell. Great looking fish though!

The "angelfish?" photo almost certainly looks like raccoon butterflies to me. The first mystery I'd peg as a parrotfish (look at that lower jaw!). Agree that the second mystery fish might be a grouper but it's really hard to tell.

Where were you snorkeling? i.e. what type of reef? Looks like lots of "mounds" and very few "branches." Was this in a lagoon?

Raccoon butterflies, that definitely makes more sense. I also believe you are correct on parrotfish, couldn't remember the name. The guide said we should see some.

Anyways, glad everyone is enjoying!!

These pics were all taken on the Kona side of the Big Island. Specifically, at the Captain Cook monument or Kealakekua Bay and Honaunau Bay.
