A good community reef safe purple fish

Thanks :thumbsup: With either species, my only concern with the current stock list would be potential conflict with the firefish.
 
i was hoping EllieSuz would chime in...she has a flame angel, and I know another reefer that has the coral beauty angel and neither of them have had any problems with coral munching. I've been eyeing a coral beauty for a couple weeks now...but I'd hate to get him in there...and have it be the downside of a coin toss. I LOVE LOVE LOVE my purple tang. Great personality...but is kinda a crack fish...personality wise. Just my two cents.
 
Remember that once your coraline algae takes off you'll have plenty of purple in the tank, just not on any fish. I'd go with the orchid dottyback myself. And a plus to them is that they're captive bred.
 
Picked the coral beauty up last night. It was at the shop for the past 3 weeks every time i went their i was like mabey mabey and finally i got it wih thw orchic dotty back

Of course the coral beauty went right into the naso and mimic tangs cave.....they did not like that. But he survived and now is swimming in the open
