A Home for Ryan's 240?

Get a Ronco windmill and feed the output to a geo-thermal exchanger with a passive solar flux capacitor... LOL And start a stil to make your own flex fuel. I'll send you the plans for all this for 3 easy payments of $39.95. Call now and we'll also throw in this handy vegetable steamer at no extra cost to you (you only pay a small handling fee of $25,000,623.52) LOL Man, I kill me!

I'm gonna go for a few chipmunks on a treadmill running a generator :)

Ya, I laugh every time I see a 4 door saturn with 24" wheels and a big ole 4" chrome tailpipe extension... F'n idiot shave no idea how stupid they look. Any chick worth her mustard would go lesbian before adding their DNA to the gene pool. 4 door bling should be instant clorox to the gene pool! :) Outlaw it all and make 'em all wear uniforms.... LOL

Careful, I said they need to bring back the draft and stated my reason and got flamed hard lol. 3 paragraphs of the user agreement in my inbox by what probably amounts to the type of individual I pegged as a would be draftee (punk)...lol..

At this stage in life I really could give 2 good sh#ts. They think they can keep me off or kick me off this sight lol.. Thats a hoot in itself. Maybe if I had a static I.P. but Im dynamic with multiple user names and computers I log in from Ill just be back as some new guy tomorrow starting threads like "y are moderators ####'s"

Todays problem is tomorrows curse. Never the less here I am. Im one of those guys who says if its not broke dont fix it but try and modify til you break it then upgrade lol...
Gene pools interesting concept since 3/4 of the local population here can trace their lineage back to the same guitar picker from Pittsburg. Again a touchy subject.

I say stand up and be proud and if you hide behind stereotypes then you become one.
Bash me for weighing the obvious facts of soceity see what I deliver back. ill make your great granny blush for what she did to her ole man to concieve you in the first place. Again off the record here lol..
Some real winners out there. I saw a shirt I threw away 10 years ago pop up Sunday on this guy that was using it for a bra moreless. Belly was hanging out 2/3 of the bottom the rest was sweat soaked from making the trek from the parking lot to the main enterance. Boy when they say all u can eat he took that serious.

My poor 90's shirt was stretched like the cellophane across a TV dinner. Lol... He was weezing and huffing I told my wife he goes down Im not saving him be doing him a favor by letting him go.

mmm TV dinners! I can honestly say that I have only ever had 2 in my life. I just threw-up a little in my mouth too!

I got a wrist slapping from a RC mod. too but after I explained myself on a calm and dignified manner (I was grabbin my crotch and flippin the bird every second) all his Hitler'isms went away and all was well in moderation land. See I'm a webmaster on 4 sites including 2 of my own so any moderator wishing to enforct their will above and beyond the black and white of the written rules and regulations had better dot all the I's and cross all the T's before chirping. I've declined mod. (censorship nazi) positions in the past as not to become a hypocrite myself. Actually I spend zero time on here on RC other than on this forum because the vaginal tendancies of so many, especially the flat out liars and losers spouting BS and talking about credentials that cannot prove. So I hit a site where it's laid back, helpful for newb's and sick twisted crusty old water heads like us..

I can see the obvious U.A. and apply it to every other concept of free speech and its gotta have some bite to it but weigh in on some sense of diplomacy.
What I say is less offensive than some Lounge folks (and they know who they are) who got a Mod for a buddy.
So be it If I offended someone then I said what needed to be said, my jobs done here now i can have pizza and beer and sleep well.
They (mods) must subscribe to sensitivity training and the dont ask dont tell philosophy. Goodie lets all blow bubbles and skip in pink skirts together. Pleeeeez! Quote "Sometime you gotta tie the dog to a tree and whack it with a shovel" Dan Akroid Tommy Boy.
One day this world is gonna errupt in all out caos. WHen that happens i dont want the limp wristed sissy who dont ask or dont tell side saddling me in a trench with a pink bubble wand wondering why everyone wants to shove a bar of soap in his pie hole and watch his head explode under the but of a rifle. I want them to get up on the top of the trench and tell the enemy hes taken sensitivity training and they need to respect his rights. Im waiting for that day!!

I'll be the one shooting that nancy-boy in the back and using him for more barrier support! :) I'm sensitive but I'm also a man and the politically correct or overly sensitive twits can kiss my a$$ as I tread heavily across their paths.

Censorship is necessary because some people have no scense of timing or public decency and need to be gagged from time to time. However, those do-gooders who feel it's necessary to save us from ourselves need to go powder it!

Man, Those Seios do suck! Not happy with them at all. Back to Mj's. Thought Id give them a try and end result is they are about worthless. I can wave my hand and get more flow.

Oh well such is life maybe use them for something else as it is they sit back in the box. Taiwan trash! All the ratings are bogus too. absolutely no head pressure at all. Just have to go closed loop and be done with that mess.
Switching things up in my tanks has only proven to be a mistake everytime I try something new it bites me everytime I should know better.

You should have asked first. I've been doing the salt water box for over 25 years now and seen alot of good and bad products (mostly bad).

Yes, you should know better! LOL I did another WC lastnight, basted, and found a peppermint shrimp I never bought. Haven't had one for nearly a year and BAM! a brand new little guy... Present from the reef godz? After that I dosed calcium and wiped off the glass. Done for a week!

Lol, Its amazing what will pop out of the rocks. Ive gotten lucky a few times with mushrooms, green star, snails, crabs, sponges, feather dusters and much more. Stuff just springs out of no where lol.

Yea I never tried those seios but I got what I deserved for not asking didnt I? ill use them somewhere anyhow just not for what I wanted them for. I love it they are huge mimic a tunze in looks and yet they have less power than a simple MJ 600.. If you read the specs there supposed to move more water than a MJ but you cant get them to push hardly at all. What a joke.

Jokes on me in the end. Oh yea they are more $ than a MJ too. I gotta break down and drill glass thats the end of the B.S. If I gotta do that then Im gonna do it all, drill for overflow and the whole 9. I just hate tearing everything down right now cuz I got alot of frags in there that havent acclimated 100% yet.. Tried to take a short cut and diffuse the anxiety but just made more in the end.
Such is life. Been tossing the numbers around on using NSW. If it works out in the gas Ill get a couple tanks to transport and be done with mixing salt all together. It has to work out in gas to get over to the coast verse a bucket of salt and the gas it takes to get that or its just not worth it.
Best case scenario is an hour drive there and hour back.. Thats half tank of petro at $3/gal about $35. A bucket is $47 for I.O. plus a 20 min. trek to get it. Bucket makes 200 gal. or about 2.5 to 3 months worth of H2O changes. so I need to haul 200 gal min. which is 1660 lbs appox. which will lower my gas mileage and in the end I just add miles to my vehicle for the same cost as a bucket. See I cant win lol...If I could haul 2000 gal in a trailor tank then maybe I could save a buck.
The man is holding me down lol....I should jsut open up a store and buy wholesale lol...

Ok, her's a couple of solutions. First, I made MJ mods that work REALLY well for $30 (mod, mounting bracket) or $60 for turnkey. The 900 and 1200 mods kick out about 800 GPH in a wide path with gentle/Med. flow and work very well to create a random flow pattern. I have 2 in my 120 and they generate 100% of my useable flow. Also, you can simply remove the outlet nose from the MJ impeller housing to create and elliptical opening of about 3-4x the original outlet area. That will double the output flow while decreasing the outlet pressure. It's all good! My mods are cool but I'm so busy right now I don't have time to work on much Government stuff. I have 1 mod and 3 mounting beackets to get done and I'm chasing my own a$$ to get them done....

I have done the nose cut on the standard MJ 1200's I was using Made a huge difference. I ditched the suction cup mounts in lieu of magnet holders (awesome) which Ill have forever and work with about every PH on the market even Tunze.
I thought about the MJ mods doing them myself. I didnt know how well they work overall. Id love to see one in action haow much differnt it really is. The guy with the Hitchikers guide thread has a run on thread on how to do it down to propeller to order and all. Maybe ill give it a shot. when I get thru some of my own Gov. projects. Got my shrouding for my Uber chiller down have to drill it and mountit next week.
Then I just aquired a giant Stainless steel Kettle with a hinged lid Im gonna convert into a upright smoker for myself $50.
I been building a small portable stainless grill for the tailgate when I find extra time and Im laying brick pavers in the yard on the weekends and painting here and there all in between that.

I cant find time to take a dump let alone a MJ mod lol...

1 piece of PVC, Stainless tube, Dumas Prop, Stainless shaft, .127 drill, lathe, file, sandpaper, 1/4" clear acrylic, 1/2" endmill, .372 drill, weldon no. 3 solvent cement and about 1 hr. and you can make you own mod. Or you can make the cheapo plastic tube and tablesaw unit that the guy claims does 1700GPH (cough, cough, BS). My design may not be perfect but it's not a hack job with a McDonalds straw and bubblegum. I've posted my entire methodology but gecause most reefers aren't master machinists I suppose they have to do what they can with dremels and such...

Time? What's that? LOL We had friends in from Michigan this weekend and had a great time. I didn't do anhting here form Fri. noon till now. The 8 ball is about to roll me over! :)

Well I wont bullsh#t you Im no machinist. I got other plans however. Im gonna canabolize these Seios into Maxi mods no one has ever seen before. I been looking at them in disgust every since they got dropped kicked to my front door.

I got some SS rod and some other parts laying around no reason I cant conjure up a usefull mod out of lack of nothing better to do with this junk.
I already butched the ceramic rod out of one to fix an old Cap pump Im gonna use for a mixer. Ding one for the good guys.

What im seeing is a few slight mods on the plastic of the Seio, a new propeller, possibly longer SS rod and a form fit piece of PVC should convert these nicely. Im scowering the web for ideas now looking for something Im missing here.
Shame to toss the Seios in my junkyard of pump parts but so be it. If they were up to the claims then they would be more popular I suppose.
Now the real question is will my freak mod move some H2O? I guess the real question is will they work at all but if so better than just a maxi with the return beak whacked off?

You mentioned Dumas prop? WHy Dumas prop? Why not Graupner 3-4 blade? Just curious.

Dumas 2 blade is what I use. They are $1 each and do a fine job without much drag. Use what U want, you'll either be a genious or a toad but not taking advice right? I make suggestions every day than snicker when noone listens and wastes time and $$$ because they think I'm a moron. I like being a moron actually, that way expectations are low and I don't have to put too much effort into other folks problems. :)

Dumas seems to be what others have used and rave about. I have no clue so I guess Im the moron by definition. Lol get this today In my inbox I get this letter from my company. They're starting a cost iniative savings program. In other words you come up with a way to save money they will give you a percentage (%5) of the overall savings in a bonus check up to $10 grand.

Ok heres my chance to make my mark. However, Ive done these things for the last 5 years and now out of the blue they want to start rewarding for it. I love it. What about all the other things Ive done in the past? I guess those get tossed to the fire. I got some Ive been holding back on so now time to get my due!!! President has to sign off on the savings. It will become a red tape nightmare in the end and Ill end up getting short changed. It will take 12 months to reap the rewards after the big dogs mull it over for 3-4 months.
Man I hate corporate america its a lead balloon. Like trying to walk up hill with a ball and chain.
Ok back to my MJ mod. When it rains it pours. I cant keep up with all my side crap now this. I make shrimp traps on the side for people. No profit in it really more labor than anything. If I was charging by the hour they would be $200 each. 1 trap is about 14/24 hours. Doesnt pay to just make one eithier cuz the time to cut the material is about the same for 1 as it is for 4. Anyhow finished 4 of those this weekend. Glad to get them out of my garage. Shrimp arent even running this year so I doubt he will get to use them.
Im beat its only Tuesday.

Welcome to my world. THsi is my first breather since 7:00AM when I went over to the shop. I painted all of my weldments and machined a stack of parts. I have 3 guards to weld and paint tomorrow, a few holes to tap and a day of assembly and debug. I'm waiting on some pneumatic stuff today and the rest of my pieces are promised tomorrow. My a$$ is making 2 drag marks in the dirt today! MAN I'm whipped!

I guess Id rather be busy than not in todays world. I figure its alot for me to do but everything workls out in the end. Not everyone has the same mentality eithier. I make my own work buy doing everything custom. Nothing store bought seems good enough to me anymore. I wanted to buy a wall mounted wine rack for example. Shopped for a day online looked at the local wineries. Nothing fit the bill so what to do? Make my own thats it end of story.
About everything Ive needed or wanted lately has come under the same scrutiny. I think its old age setting in. That combined with the cheapening up of consumer products and the ever increasing desire for something better than what average joe has become forced to lay his hard earned buck down for.
I figure Im better than that so I deserve it cuz I can and do.

Im always sketching up the next best thing for myself to build or be built. Custom Kitchen is in the works hind sight somewhere. Got it all drawn out just no time... Oh yea theres that dam reef tank too lol...
If I had your resources Id go broke on my own crap alone. Just best keep me to my own devices.
Ive slowly started ot accumulate shop equip. Might start investing in it more actually. I love to work with Stainless. Its high dollar more precision and the end product is always worth the effort. I do 90% Stainless here for the co. cuz everyones afraid to screw it up and toss a piece in the Sh$t can. I can shroud a complete 40 ft ticket counter in #304 B or XL shuede for that matter and the scrap could fit in a 5 gal bucket Ive done it for so long. Thats what Im using for my outside kitchen actually.
Breaking a counter and I got a drop in commercial sink. Made a custom vent hood thats powered by a squirrel cage blower moter with built in lights. Fab'd the duct work. Again, no time to get to it. Im in reservations of whether or not to install it in this house anyhow since Im about 90% convinced Ill be moving in the short coming. Oh yea my MJ mods sitting on my desk too. Dam! Gotta order them propellers today. Im gonna try a piece of Tig rod for shafting see how it works.

Don't put anything under 316 in the tank or it will corrode. I foyu had all of my resources you'd hate it as much as me after a while. It's nice to fix this and that but I'd rather not spend ANY free time in the shop unless it's making me money or helping a friend. The honey-do's get back burnered cuz I'd rather sit in the back yard with a beer and wathc humming birds fight!

If your like every other shop you gotta keep the lights on too. Im strapped to a desk so I dont get to play with the toys out in the shop much. We run production and sales orders all day so its not that often I get the opportunity to make stuff so I take advantage of those lag times to the fullest.
Just met a guy today has a virtual junk yard of stuff he needs to clear out.
When I say junk yard I mean like 9 antique cars, 2 boats, a tractor, misc this and that his ole mans been pack ratting on acerage in the woods for 30 years. I bought a commercial Stainless steel kettle from him today for $50 Im gonna turn it into a smoker lol.
Its 40 gal double wall culinary pot with stainkless pipe legs on it and a hinged lid. Weighs about 200 lbs. Its worth $50 in scrap alone. Yet another project.... From what hes telling me however its a first come first serve everything must go sale. Has a 32 Chevy a Model T in restorable condition.
I run into crap all the time like this. Ill end up coming home with the bumper on the old Ford draggin with half this old mans junk and a promise to be back for the rest Im sure lol...Just fueling my own junk yard. My wife loves it lol...I make shrimp traps on the side and just sold 4 today to make room for this kettle in the garage. The idea was to make room now I got something bigger to take their place lol....Couldnt pass it up.
I need a barn for my "good stuff". One day soon they may find me under a big pile of polished stainless odds and ends crushed to death from my blatent disrespect for spacial awareness. the faster I move it in and out the fast I fill it back up. I moved took 5 years to weed out the non-essentials and upgradfe to smaller, faster, or better and or sell off unused. Meanwhile to my dismay it only took me less than a year to build up my supply of "what the hell was I saving that for again" stuff.
Im pretty sure me, the professor from Giligans Island and Mcgiver could fashion a flying saucer that runs on Mazola corn oil with what I got laying around the gargage and if not then I now know where to get the missing parts......

Ya, I spend days in front of this tube and days behing a welding mask, milling machine, lathe, or all the above. It's nice to do the physical and beat the snot out of steel and aluminum but the office is nics and quite too!

I hear the Fred Sanford theme playing in the background... "LaMont Ya big dummy". LOL

I'm building a $1000.00 piggie spit next week for a guy who just called yesterday. I told him I'll make what ever he has money for and he laughed. I wasked him if he wanted it portable or drivable! LOL After he was pics of the grilles and spits I've made he was hooked and is sketching up some ideas. I told him I'll do just about any fab. for $40'hr. labor and material cost.... 100% stainless, down to the lovejoy Q.D. Ya baby! Stainless!

You gotta love that! I got a mini BBQ out of SS that mounts to my hitch stared somewhere too. A rolled radius with end caps charcoal only for now on that one. Gotta burn the end caps and tig weld it up. Lost my SS hinges somewhere too.
Thats for surf fishing on the beach and tail gating as it is. Something small to take out not that I ever get time to do anything anymore... Weather will break soon and Ill get more done. Heat stifles me alot. I can drop up to 8 lbs in a day working in the heat. Tends to make you procrastinate on things when you know your gonna be sweating like a SOB. Early mornings or late evenings are the best times to get things done.
