It's kinda neat that your tank and mine will pretty much be polar opposites: Wicked cool skimmer vs. none. In wall vs. rimless. T5 vs. LEDs. We've got the whole realm of possibilities spanned.![]()

From what I can see from the users manual, you would just put the dry gasket directly on the motor assembly - this would keep the motor assembly from scratching the glass when you stick the two parts together. But, you are correct, with 3/4" glass you do not use the pin spacer.
Kind of a bummer that your brand new VorTechs don't have the new controller. Are you eligible for a free upgrade since you just bought them?
