A pic of my 75 g today 1 year details.

My corals are mostly hard corals, some soft; mushrooms, xenia, 1 devils hand, the rest are hard, mostly LPS and now some SPS, I guess as the SPS grow I will have an equal amount of SPS and LPS. Good starter; mushrooms. I am sure there are plenty of other good starters, mushrooms , and Xenia, you cannot get rid of xenia it is a weed . The others are too if water perams stay perfect and water flow and light.
My LN butterfly did not eat anything I fed him for the first few days, then he started to eat zooplankton, now he eats everything, there is nothing he doesnt eat, but I think he learned from the Naso tang, he does everything the Naso does.

BTW , I hope you dont lose him, I am having the same problem now with my mandarin , he was eating pods great for 3 months, now he isnt eating and is very thin. :(

Thanks Tony - I hope he eats real soon. Good luck with your tank, it's awesome. I wish you could run over here and give me some advice for getting started, I seem to be at a real low time right now with DAILY adverse events. I haven't rested one evening since I started. But, I don't plan to give up anytime soon though, I waited too long and worked too hard for this baby.

I did make it. It doesnt look like it would fit, I thought it wouldnt fit threw the front, I put it threw the back before everything was in place, then one night the sump cracked , I thought I was in huge trouble, but it did fit out the front doors and the new one went right in it, so a 29g sump fits threw the front of Oceanic 75g cabinet.

Here is a whole tank shot from today, and one fromt he center of the tank

wow, thats so nice... great job my friend.

Hey, what coral is that sphere shaped one with the green centers...

Thanks
Scott

hey another Q .. what is that really bright coral to the left of the other i was asking about... lol i am not specific i know, its a really bright green coral though...

The sphere is favia or favite, i forget which one. The bright green to the left of the clam is candy cane coral (Caulastrea)
There are three differant color Caulastrea in there , the bright green the medium green and the green with purple inside.

Thanks RJ and Flip.
And my mandarin is back fluttering around the tank pecking at things.
I also ordered 3 royal grammas and a lawn mower blennie.

I was sure I read in Reef Fish book that it said they can be kept in small groups, I just emailed Pet Solutions and asked them to change that to a pair.

Petsolutions is an awesome store. I didn't mean to discourage you, but I have heard that three is often a crowd when it comes to many fish species (clowns, anthias, and basslets). Although there are probably exceptions, I think your choice was wise :). I can't wait to see the order arrive!

You didnt discourage me . I realized maybe I made a mistake before your reply.
On another note, my Mardarin continues to do good. He is totally back to the way he used to be swimming around and pecking at everything. The only change during the time he looked skinny and not picking and now was that I used 100 micron poly to filter the sump water just before the return pump, so maybe this filtered out alot of pods? I would think most of the pods stay in the main tank, but maybe they get mixed in the water column and at 10x turnover maybe they get filtered out quickly when using 100 micron filter. I am back to no filter now like I always was in the past, it just isnt needed.

Good news about your mandarin. I've noticed that mine seems to be fatter before I clean my canister filter as opposed to after...a possible connection maybe? I've seen them in there from time to time, but I don't know if there is a connection.

I have q tank set up for my fish tomorow , I think this will fill my 75g no more fish after these 3 little ones.
I also have two more corals comeing from DR Mac, one maze coral and one more monti digi purple.
Cant wait till tomorow.

heh tony, dont you hate anticipation? lol I am getting my new PC fixture and some new fish on Friday... i am so excited.. i feel like a dork ! lol ... but yeah cant wait to see some pics of ur new corals and fish!!

Take care
Scott
