Tested Nitrates again , the new skimmer and rdsb are keeping the nitrates right around 2 , which is right around they used to be for the first two years f the tank, then they ran up to 44. Now they appear to be back under control.

Camera is a Nikon D100, last pics were with Nikon 17-35mm lens. Usually I use a 180mm macro lens for close ups, but too lazy this time.

Hi 143, I havnt posted here for a while. No new updates. I just checked all my water tests and the rdsb has my nitrates below 1 and phosphates 0. So thats really good from my nitrates up at 40 before the rdsb. I need to take a picture soon.

Excellent, I do not think a tank can be run without one.

Well you had better stop thinking then ;)

I will change that to I would not run without one.
Perfect for scheduled water changes with no input from me , once a week it automatically changes 10g every sunday for me, all I do is mix saltwater about 40gs once a month.
Top off, never have to worry about a float valve being stuck open and causing the topoff water to run non stop.
