A question about Coral

I have a question about placing corals next to each other. For exp. if i was to put frogspawn next(A 3-4 INCHES AWAY) to a brain coral, would they try to eat each other even though they both are consider LPS coral? Also would LPS coral live under a compact fluorescent light?

certain LPS will sting other types of LPS. I have frogspawns and hammer corals all over each other, and they don't harm each other, but I've had zooanthids and leathers sting each other, or mushrooms sting other soft corals.
You can just place them where you want them and keep an eye on both for a day or two and if you see them at war, just distance them apart.
LPS corals would do just fine under compact fl. lights. Actually they'd prefer that over MH's, because they don't like too much light.
