A.R.M. question

I recently purchased a 50lb bag of A.R.M. and noticed that it contained countless yellow granules mixed throughout the media which I have never encountered before when buying the individual 8lb containers. Anyone know what these granules are and if they would harm the the tank (mostly acropora sp.) if used? FWIW the granules are "chalk-like" and readily crumble when crushed. TIA!

looks like the crap they put in potting soil..that fertilizer!

I dont know why that would be there, but thats what it looks like

Looks to me like seeds of some kind. In your closeups you can see the little dimple where it would have a stem. There is also what looks like a husk from a seed.

Looks like soap. That'd make the skimmer work!

I'd call the manufacturer as previously mentioned...I'd not be willing to take the gamble!!

LOL! You guys never fail to make me laugh...so it's probably crack that a leprechaun was using to make his skimmer work??? ;)

I already sent an email to caribsea on friday but am still waiting for a response. Any more ideas?

Thanks for the replies so far!
