Very nice to see an LED tank in all its glory.

Thanks Haksar :)

wow, that's a really clean and impressive build. The corals looked so healthy and good color.

And they're growing so darn fast too, I think I'm out of space for them to grow in a few more months..

Haksar..... when I see this tank...really want to switch to LEDs.... but 1200Watt MH cast me only 18US$ each month.... :)

Love this tank.... really very beautiful.....

That's pretty good rate you've got there, you're getting about $0.05/kwh?

But if you count the bulb changes ($50-80 per bulb, and you've 3x 400w I suppose) every 6-9 months, it adds up :)

Your tank is awesome!

On the picture, I can not see the color separation of the light cause by various LED colors compare to your video, where you can see it easly!

Why?

Howard,
Finally, I got a chance to watch your latest macro HD video. Awesome! Now I can actually see the simmering effect on the tank. I just love it. You also have very nice PE that move with the current. Did you take a lot of movies before you got it right?

Wow very nice!!

Thanks :)

Thanks.

What you saw was the shimmering effect, since I've used 4x red bulb it became even more visible. The shimmering effect isn't very visible in a photo because it captured 1/200 of a second, whereas a video will continue to capture 30 frames a second.

I've since then swapped those 4 red bulbs out, and will be taking another video soon, the shimmering effect is still there but without the red hue it'll be less visible.

It took a few tries to get it right :)

But I also find my DSLR compresses the video too much so it loses some quality, I'll try to play with the settings next time.

Howard, it is seeing a tank like yours that inspires me to stay in this hobby. I hope one day my tank will be closer to be like yours. Thanks for the awesome tank video.

Howard,
Gorgeous! Please explain ' ZEOSpur2'ed' which is part of the title. Maybe I have missed something.:D

Thanks Simon, mine is really nothing when compared to Andrew's and Bonbon's. :D

You need to stop providing us with drugs, its very addicting

Haha after reading your comment and Simon's comment, he's basically asking for more drugs :lolspin:

Howard,
Gorgeous! Please explain ' ZEOSpur2'ed' which is part of the title. Maybe I have missed something.:D

I've added 2.5ml of ZEOSpur2 about 24 hours prior to taking this video, and thus you'll notice the very obvious pastel color. ZEOSpur2 is probably the trade secret of ZEOvit's success :bounce2:

I watched some of Bonbon's youtube videos of his tank and they were amazing, especially his lighting set up. All I could say was WOW!

Looking better and better Howard. You know, if you keep this tank going for a while longer and it is allowed to mature fully I can see possibly the first LED TOTM. :bounce3: Your tank is one of the best cadidates for an LED TOTM.
