Well I finally finishes reading your fantastic thread. Love it.

Hope you liked it :)

Wow, really beautiful & inspirational tank!

It makes me wish I went with maxspects with my 40g build instead of ATI, but I wanted the G3 and got tired of waiting. I'm missing the shimmering effect.

Well it's never too late to... upgrade it! :crazy1:

I love this tank! Great aquascape makes me just want to stare at it, this and bon's are my favorite reefs at the moment. Cant wait to see more pics of it

Thanks! I'm pretty happy how the aquascape turns out to be, especially as the SPSs' grow it almost seems like the aquascape starts to take on a life of its own.

Hi, looking awesome.
I also have a Maxspect, and wonder how high above the surface you have the light?

I had it over 13 inches, and have now lowered, and hopefully this will result in faster growth.

Perhaps i have missed it but if you dont mind, could you please post the times each channel is on etc. I have mine on for about 6 hours on full blast, and the blues are on about 12 hours... yep, like my blues :)

Your system is incredible! following along. How do you like your Maxspect? i have the same light system but just couldn't get my SPS to color up like yours. I don't dose just waterchange twice a month.

job very well done !!!!!!!!!

Amazing tank, amazing organisms, amazing photography and videography skills

I love people that can plan and execute according to the plan!!!!!!!!

Can I ask if you have a link or something that can provide information on the silicon method used to put your tank together! In Greece we are way back in tank design and building so you have to do a lot of research!!!!!!!!

Subscribed!keep up the good work!

I've it hung 4" above the water, and my photoperiod is:
All on: 5 hrs
3w blue+white only: 9 hrs
blue only: 13 hrs

I like them a lot, I think my corals can tell you that :)

You need to consider adding additives, because water change twice a month isn't enough to sustain all the elements corals need to survive, let along color up.

Thanks - my tank is hand-built in China, the craftsmen are pretty skilled. :)

Howard,
The corals are just gorgeous!!! Again very well taken photos. You surely are a very skillful photographer.:wavehand:

The photos of your corals are what I'm going to show people when they say that acro's don't hold their color well under led's (it took this long for a lot of reefers to admit that led's can grow acro's).

Gorgeous, can you tell me with what cam do you take those pictures?

Thanks - I'm using Nikon D90 with 105mm VR micro lens

I always look forward to your updates. Awesome stuff!!
Any chance for a FTS.

Thanks! :) I'm going take a FTS tonight, was too tired last night after taking all the top tank shots, holding the camera with one hand and the portal with another (it's actually a 3"x4" glass aquarium).

Yeah I've also noticed a lot of local reefers starting to consider LED now, a year ago they'll just give you a smirk when you said LED can keep SPS's
