A Reef in the Sky

Really like this tank probably one of my favourites, I followed the build on here and on zeovit. Really like the scape.

Do you know the complete fish stock list? if so could you please post it up. I'm currently setting up my new reef tank and just wondered how many fish and types you have.

Thanks
Chris

Let me begin with that I'm very impressed with your build! Great job with the tank.

I was just wondering if you would like to share your SketchUp model of ATI ramp? I've would love to have that one in my own models planning my future tank..

Best regards,
Christian

exactly what i am waiting for. HO YEA OR....
Thanks a lot!

Stunning!
Andrew. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you sir!

Classy, elegant, artful.
Cheers

Did the white stringy things you observed coming from your SPS look like this:

Thats a zoomed in picture of one of my Monti digi's after a supposed alk spike. I posted a thread about it in the SPS forum and they said it was my corals discharging zooxanthellae, so if you observed the same thing that means it is likely my problems were also due to an alk spike. Speaking of which, you're alk of 145, do you know what that converts to in dKh?
Hi Alex. It is not exactly what I saw. The white pieces of string were longer in length. I'll look back into my old pics and see if I have any showing this.

Thanks

V1 - Awesome Build Thread - Very inspiring on the use of minimalism and creating a modern tank layout.

If I ever get a chance to redo my 250g system I think I would go your route too.

Great work.
Thank you very much Ellery

8.12 is considered an alk spike?
Usually I keep my Alk between 120 - 130. I think it peaked much higher than 145, maybe 155-160 so in the zeovit world I would consider it be be a spike.

Looking great as always!
Thanks Chad!

Looking good V1! Do I see some new Anthias?
Hi Clint... no new fish for a couple of months now. Everything is going well and I have also cut down on the feeding.

zeovit, 7.4 is considered an alk spike
Thanks Ryan... I wouldn't want it to reach that high when it had been sitting around 6.5 for so long.

One of the nicest tanks I have ever seen. Love the minimalistic style!
Thank you very much

Hi Christian and thanks.

Sure no problems, PM your e-mail and I can forward you the ATI light model file for sketch up.

This is the best looking tank that I have ever seen. I do have a question for you though. How the heck do you keep your tank so clean???? Do you scrape it all day? I need to know!

imma follow this thread...I want (and will be soon) to make something similar to what you are doing here, but have ideas of great improvement [or not, depending on what you are trying to do / like] that excites me knowing the customizations I am considering may be very helpful to not only me, but anyone else if they so choose to use them. And if they don't, no worries. As long as after, or during the beta-testing/suggestions procedures and criticism throughout the process has refined my next logical course of action in building this project, it will be built....but better.

Absolutely love the tank build. So clean and nice. I'm considering whether i should do a shallow tank and this is probably a good example to follow :)

Beautiful tank

Beautiful tank

V1,
Your tank is one of the most beautiful I've seen. I noticed you keep the coraline algae off your glass. I really like that look. How do you keep it off, with a razor blade or what? (complete noobie)

Can't speak for him, but the best way is to clean your glass regularly and never let the coralline get a foothold.

V1,
Your tank is a ture inspiration to how amazing a reef can really be. I also see you use the zeovit system and it seems to be working nicely but doen't is get expensive to continue or no?

First of all, you tank is amazing / awesome!!! Congratulation.

I have a question regarding the Zeovit. Is the Zeovit used to run your system in a low nutriment state?

Since the new Bio-pellet is used to reduce Nitrate and phosphate, can the New Bio-pellet use to achieve the same result ?

Best Regards!

Chris

Wow, i wonder whether the Zeovit helps out, cause i think youre doing a superjob anyway!

I wonder just how it all would look without the Zeo.. my hope is pretty much the same?

Or do you feel that Zeo does make a huge difference?

Wowsers! Your tank looks like a work of art, Andrew. The growth and coloration is so insane!

I came back to this thread via an email link. I don't know What-the-F I was thinking when I posted the quote below but I was unable to edit or delete it. I do not remember typing it and I am starting to question if it was even me because it does not seem like something I would type. Let this serve as an apology for cluttering up your awesome thread with garbled crap. Also, please excuse this reply from doing the same as well.

Your system is very inspiring! I think perhaps I drank a little too much and started admiring your tank and then became jealous. Great work mang, I can't wait to see your progress :)
