Apologies for not replying earlier. I'll give a run down on what's been happening but the most important thing is the is the tank is going well. The light unit is performing really well and I will have time now to update the latest happenings over the next few days.
Those of you that have asked questions... I'll respond within the next day as I'm presently catching up on PM's.
I just want to take this opportunity to say that it was always a great pleasure to me seeing our lights over your tank. Hope you (and your wife) are really happy with the new Hybrid. All the best for the Future.
Hi there. You have an absolutely amazing setup. I'm wondering if you could send me the plans for your stand? I would like to look into getting something similar built. Thanks!
Thank you Gooch. I unfortunately don’t have the plans as the builder of the stand does. Here are some pics of the stand, some of which I haven't shown before. I'll show them in the next post.
I believe I replied to your PM but to be sure I’ll answer again.
I have been using the LED presets but as I today have started to adjust them and create my own colours. I was using a variety at different time of the day (Blue+, Purple+, Coral + and Blue Special.
Congratulations mate, truly deserving of the TOTM honor. I really think the only way to really show you how much we admire your reef is to all strip down, smother our selves with acro slime and sacrifice some flubber in front of the tank at midnight.......... obviously fishypets you ain't invited cause you're a reef pervert - you can do your thing once our ceremony is over.
No I don’t chercm. But I do have to be careful that the output of the Zeo reactor (where bubbles come out from) is not too close to the return pump otherwise bubbles can go to the display tank. I woke up one morning to a surprise!
Congrats on TOTM! In planning stage and would like to get a feel of ALK and CA demands for a thriving SPS tank such as yours? What volume of each are you dosing per day?
Thank you lanshark. I will provide a more accurate update as I need to recheck but from memory ALK was 95ml per day and Ca 110ml. This will need to be increased. It’s amazing how much the corals consume compared to when they were smaller.
Congrats on TOTM! It's actually what introduced me to your tank - I thought it was so gorgeous, I went looking for your build thread and have read through it all over the past week. You have an amazing tank and great attention to detail, thanks for sharing the journey with everyone and keeping us updated! I'm in the process of planning my first reef tank, and yours has made me realise that the minimal look with less live rock is definitely the way I want to go. Love it!
Just saw the latest pic updates.....
I just can't believe your dedication and skills in maintaining such a clean system. Hard to believe your tank has been running for years...it's so clean it looks like it had been just setup yesterday. Hats off to you...such an inspiration for us all.
Your hard work and care is definitely paying dividends....beautiful healthy thriving corals.
Also your tank is getting unwanted attention.....people wanna make love to it now :lol2:
I just wanna hug your tank
Thanks again for the inspiration...
You have created "Art with water"
As always noob… thank you!! My goal way back was to create a piece of ‘ART’ and it’s humbling that others, including you agree that I have achieved this.
I use the full Zeovit system comprising of Bak, Start3, Food7, Sponge Power, Spur2, B-Balance, K-Balance and Biomate. I haven’t changed the bulbs as they are still new. The previous ATI PM saw the bulbs run for up to 15months at a time.
Thank you Gooch. I unfortunately don't have the plans as the builder of the stand does. Here are some pics of the stand, some of which I haven't shown before. I'll show them in the next post.
Really? Wow... I just took the picture on the right and you can see the comparison to what a good day looks like. The smog drifts down from mainland China assisted by the weather systems.
The picture also shows the view the fish and coral have
People in the condos below you have the choice to pay 1,000,000 for the ocean view or 10,000,000 for "Reef in the Sky" view. And I heard there's a twenty five year wait list to get on the "Tank" side.
If I had to guess all of the yachts in the port are anchored up trying to get a glimpse of "A Reef in the Sky"

Beautiful as always Andrew, thanks for long awaited update. Can you tell what intensity you running your fixture at? I assume T5's at 100% but what about leds? Thank you.
