A Reef in the Sky

Looking brilliant Andrew! Your corals are massively grown...makes the display look smaller than it is.

agree when i first saw the video on youtube i was thinking about buying a 36inch shallow tank... Then i read the thread and realised it was 2 foot bigger! couldn't believe it , so simple so clean, and the corals are so huge. I would love to see what Andrew could do with a 9 foot long tank... ;D *hint*

Beautiful as always Andrew, thanks for long awaited update. Can you tell what intensity you running your fixture at? I assume T5's at 100% but what about leds? Thank you.
Thanks Mark. As you can see, I'm mainly using the CUSTOM settings. It's really trial and error with determining what effect I like. It gives me great flexibly as certain corals might be under or in the vicinity of certain LED Modules.

The T5's are running at around 75%-80% as I've been trying an experiment. The LED's are running at 90% during the day.

Any more questions feel free to ask.

Wow!!! Hats off to you
Thanks very much. If your ever in Hong Kong let me know

WOW, the green staghorn in the middle is just amazing :spin2:
Thank you. I love it too. Wait until you see the before and after shots :eek1:

that tank looks better with every bit of time that passes!
Thank you

Thank you Sir! I wish I had more room in the tank. It's amazing how quickly the space reduces.

LOL... thank you. This time next year the tank will be gone so I have around 10 months to see how large I can grow the corals.

Andrew,

Corals have grown big! nice colors. I noticed you've reduced the sand in the tank, any particular reason ?

Thanks, Aj
Thanks AJ. The sand missing from the front isn't as bad as it looks as the current has pushed it around. That being said, I have started to replace some sand sections. It's just a slow process. :hmm2:

Very clean aesthetics. fabulous.
Thank you

One word..awesome
Thank you

***On another note... I've been considering making a video showing my maintenance chores (water changes, maintaining the sand bed, etc...). If interested, let me know.

His wife is pregnant......congrats buddy

Sad news that the world famous Reef in the Sky is coming down... :(

But good news for Andrew and congrats to you my friend. :)

Andrew will there even be a small nano reef in the sky? Or are you taking a break from the hobby completely?

Andrew, would absolutely love to see such videos...your tank/sump etc are the most immaculately kept in the whole world.

Your tank still makes my eyes explode,as it did the first time i saw it andrew!:)
Welldone!

Andrew,

We'd love to see the video, It would also be great if you can ID your corals in a picture stream. I can't seem to find any in the SFO area.

Thanks again,
Aj
