Cheers for the response Andrew. Most my colours are pretty good, I have the one table that is growing has pe but is brown, I know there is color in there because I can see hints of it. I may have to try and shock some sense into it. Maybe just tape it right to the radion puck, that should expel some zoa
I didn't mean to direct it towards you Mike, i was just going off on a ramble lol.
Andrew, you do not need to keep sponge power in your fridge. It does not contain any bacteria. On the other hand, bottles like ZEObak, Cyanoclean and Biomate need to be kept in a fridge as they contain bacteria for various purposes.
I know it doesn't need to be kept cool Bulent but i like to see it nestled among the eggs in the fridge door, looks way better than in a dark cupboard.
I will give the sponge power a try I guess. Do you see any other benefit other then water looking clearer? Do you turn off skimmer when dosing? If so for how long etc.
I just add 3 drops a night for a total water volume of 170-180gal. Since i started doing lots of stuff around the same time it's hard to say if it had other effects. I don't ever turn the skimmer off for anything, not ever...........like never, ever.
I'm pretty sure if you guys came to Canada you'd be too drunk from our strong beer and too stoned and too polite to do much of anything threatening.
Oh and good job turning down the brightness in the FTS - it sure is dull looking!
Matt has already promised to take me moose wrestling so if we combine your suggestions with Matt's i think we're on a winner when it comes to entertaining old biggles Mindy
I have decided to end this journal and start a new one down the track that won't have the word peninsula in the title. I've placed pumps along the back wall as of today and prob won't clean that panel anymore since i'm going to treat the display as a standard against the wall setup so i can supply better flow for ALL the acros and keep a small measure of control over where the sand blows.
This is pretty much the finished layout, i just spread the sand back everywhere after cleaning and moving some of the pumps so the water is pretty cloudy, still need another 30lbs of sand i think to get the coverage i want.
I shall endeavor to make the new journal more information useful than this one and won't be making reef facts up (i will be, just said that for Reefvet's sake).
Last pic - no more peninsula.........
