A Splash of Color - My SPS Peninsula Reef

You forgot one important thing: a lot of light :twitch:

I like to keep lots of acros hovering just above the sand bed and that requires very good light coverage if you want them to hold color wherever you place them. :)

Can I see a pic of your sump?

I have the day off tomorrow so i'll take some pics of the sump for you, once i remove the food coloring drips.............. :p

One of Wrangy's acro frags had a go at my green flying saucer coral so now it has an ugly damaged spot - @#%#$$ Wrangy :mad2:

Lots of CRAZY NICE colours there Andrew (formerly known as Biggles). And a lot of greeny stuff too. :p

Wow biggles everything is looking awesome! Sorry that I haven't been around much lately, work and life has been pretty flat out for the last few months. I'm sorry to hear about you hospital visit mate, as its a scary place where they can stab you and cut you up and not get in trouble for it!!! I'm glad you survived:) I've got a lot of reading to catch up on but you will see more of me from now on (Its not decided yet if that's a good thing or not  )

Love your stuff biggles! Always admired your style and approach to reefing

Thanks a lot Brent, i think you should start a new journal for that SPS battle tank you have hiding away under new T5 lighting - you won't know your acros in a month or two mate.

Just call me Kermit mate :D Greens make your other colors stand out if you stick the buggers in the right spot ;)

Wowsers biggles! That is looking awesome mate! You must be keeping Kevin out of there and the hard work is paying off :lolspin:

Thanks Scotty, i can slide all the islands around and turn them 360 so i can make minor fiddles all the time and you guys won't even know Kevin and i are still at it...........

It's good to hear from you Rory :) was getting worried you had given reefing away.

great new looks.
I would also love to see your sump.

Thanks mate, i will net out all the floating dead insects prior to taking any pics so you guys don't think i'm slack  The power lead bars have lights on each switch so they attract things at night and the sump eats them - i don't get too close to the sump after lights out..........

Tomorrow will be top down Thursday since i have the day off............

Lol thanks for the kind words Mike.

That is a beautiful blue acro.

Why are you keeping a flying saucer with real corals?

So i can stick a cool acro on it when i find the right one.........

:eek2:
As always - sweet stuff Andrew!!

Thanks Greg, i put that blue polyped acro we both have up in high light - it's looking a tad pale and washed out lol

I believe he like the other corals to feel "alienated" :p

That is a shocker Greg, even the cynarina was unimpressed.......

Wow! does that blue purple acro have red polyps? That is stunning

I squinted hard today but i think they're more rusty brown than red. It's a very eye catching piece in the front corner :)

Lol yeah it got off to a slow start didn't it mate. Thanks for the kind words my friend. :)

Amazing corals as usual Andrew mate (I got so used to caling you Biggles...it almost feels weird to call you Andrew...).

That one with the with blue polyps just looks sweet. Please dont eat it though :p I know you ate a chunck of the green acro...

Bigg...Andrew, I hope you realise that you have to post a photo of an SPS every DAY (cant post photo of same coral every day, so dont try get round the rule by doing that). That's the rule when you have a new large peninsula tank that can be stuffed with 100's of SPS...
