I'm sorry to everyone for not being on lately but i've been dealing with some crappy stuff the last few months and the tank has suffered as a result.
When i get stressed i get feral and that's why i don't post because i know i will say stuff i later regret.
I discovered the salinity had drifted to 1.0230 over a few weeks but since i hated the poopy acros and resented looking after the tank i raised it to 1.0260 in 12 hours and when the lights came on next day i saw pieces losing flesh.
I took out 6 litres of salt water water and poured in 6 litres of RO on the spot figuring it would lower the shock of such a rapid lift............. i was on a roll by now and i had the sh$ts big time so didn't care what happened tbh.
I grabbed the cutters and removed a few pieces dying and that's when one handle slipped from my fingers and dropped down onto the fireworks like a karate chop. I looked at the 1" branch end smashed off the colony and rather than glue it back i instead smashed the fireworks colony two more times whilst calling it a bastard - it's not a colony now.
Dom came by and took me to Deer Park the other day, hadn't been in months and i had a great time catching up with Dave and listening to Dom talk about what waste of money stupid rare fish he was going to get next........
At one point i remarked quite loudly that there was a large wave of water rushing by my feet in the shop and perhaps something was amiss........ helping soak up about 7o litres of water with towels, mops and a vac was the best time i've had in months
Dave had poisoned all the acros with two pack floor sealer fumes a few days earlier so everything looked light tan colored and bleached - i decided i would save a couple of echi sticks and Dom decided to waste his money on a stupid little acan and something else i can't even remember - that's how much i must have thought of it........
To John, Ken and Jen - thanks guys :love1:
I tidied the islands up and now just have two main structures under the radiums. Draw is 100ml and was 190ml before things went south. I stopped everything a few weeks back and don't use AF or anything else now as i want to let things settle for a few months after what has gone on.
Despite everything i do to them my acros always seem to forgive me, poopy and not growing but coloring back up slowly, just before the fish went ni ni's tonight - i haven't done a Flo
