I'm glad you lot found that equipment tutorial informative, the next one will be how to assemble the jebao ATO unit. I'm guessing that since so many of you didn't even know about the hose installation required with the dosing units most of you have probably gone off half arsed and made a mess of assembling the electronic top up units that jebao make.
I have degrees in both Lego & Meccano and have been zapped by 240V at least ten times so i'm pretty sure i've built up a tolerance to electric shocks much like bee keepers do. In other words, don't try this stuff at home - leave it to the experts (me). :reading:
I would seek the counsel of those with practical experience mate. Since alk is far and away the most important and potentially lethal chemical we add to the tank daily i would urge you to buy one that is reliable & trustworthy
I got the fluid on ebay Dom, think it was from the US.
I am going to share the little prank you and Dave played on old biggles at the LFS today with the 'sweet pink bits'............ if you two hear what sounds like thunder in the distance........ it's the sound of biggles vengeance approaching...........:angryfire:
Have a read of this link Kevin, if you used RO i'd bet that your keeping your salinity lower than you think. It's worth checking imo.

I don't get it - whats with the refractometer?
Isn't RO water with 0 tds good enough to calibrate it? Must I buy a special liquid for it?
