Thanks Nathan :D

You're welcome. While I was a little skeptical at first and somewhat taken aback at your ... choice of words ... you have earned an great amount of respect (from me, anyways :D) with your cogent arguements and tireless patience. I've learned a lot from you and look forward to learning more!

KIDDING

;) I might have a few problems getting it into New Zealand anyway. MAF are on the warpath, trading in restricted species may not be such a good idea ;)

Joe, your tank is just ok jbny kicks butt!!!. Its a dsb with stability...

The redox of my dsb is -400!! it decreases in negativity when the lights go out. Alot of reducing power in the sand bed...
Vaccum 25% once a month to remove bacteria wich will remove phosphate. I use no phosphate media.

idunken that is funny you would pay big money for a golden stag!!!!!

Good luck finding that coral at your LFS! Keeping it golden brown takes the same conditions as keeping a purple stag purple. Both will turn poo brown in poor conditions.

bacteria reduce no3 to n2 and expand to consume more no3. In the process they syntheisze more dna and rna absorbing more phosphate for the phospo diester backbone found in dna and rna.nd you vaccum them buggers out of your sand. phoshate leaves the system. I think of phosphorous leaving my system when i vaccum my sand leaving more room for bacterial expansion. once a month is all you need;.

my system has low phosphate, low nitrate, low hydrocarbons, salinity 35ppt(important)
How are you bb nitrates? Do you feed much?
Thanks,
Larry

guy why are you even responding to this dude ,, he's just having fun and your all playing along ,, time for ignore button I think
