A year since adding water...

Now 2 years since adding water, and several lessons learned, it's time for a bigger tank!

The 2nd picture is of my favorite I forgot the fancy name zoa. The 3rd is my biggest accomplishment, I picked up the blue trumpet as a 2 head frag from a fellow phoenix reefer a little over a year ago. It was a smaller start than the neon green I purchased at a PROP auction about 6 months earlier! The 4th picture is of the Pandora palys that are growing non-stop! And I finally found the green paly grandis I've been looking for!

Any recommendations on a 125 to 150 gallon rimless tank would be greatly appreciated!

Derek

Tank does no justice in just pictures, beautiful set up Derek

You say 2 years since adding water...I take it you have an ATO and are referring to water changes, because there is no way you can get away without adding water in Arizona!!!

Oh no, I do not have an ATO... I took the idea of a biosphere and went a bit further! The tank loses no water since it is completely sealed...

Now this is completely different from what your pics show. How are you feeding and keeping calcium and other areas up to par with a sealed tank?

Haven't you heard about the new reef foundation kit currently being imported?

Agree with this statement, although I'm a bit biased. You can come take a look at mine and collect some classroom donations sometime.

But if you're looking for something used, this would be the tank I'd go check out: http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2314048

The depth (front to back) of a standard 125 is pretty meh to me; having a tank at least 24" deep lets you do so much more with the aquascaping comparatively.

Growing up in Seattle, and having a passion for gardening, it was always during President's Day weekend that rose bushes were to be pruned back...

Since I learned very quickly that roses couldn't handle my neglect in the desert, I have now started a new tradition... President's Day weekend Sump Sunday... All of the pumps have been taken apart and cleaned, excess detritus has been siphoned, and the feather caulerpa has been thinned out...

Now it's time to do some gardening--my desert tortoise has decided the weather is too beautiful to sleep any longer and is on the hunt for food...
