acan experts please help

Now there tissue separated in two spots right in the middle of the colony. Its approx the size of a pencil eraser. not sure if its a pest or not? please help

the lower spot you see in the bottom two pictures is the corals skeleton. This was after I broke through a similar shell that you see developing right above it.

anyone know what is causing this? Is this a pest? if so what do I do to get rid of it?

Please advise...HELP.

also close inspection of the underside, I see nothing. no holes or obviouse signs that something has burrowed into the base of the coral...

I'm dealing with a similar issue on a trachi noticed holes in otherwise healthy coral. mine is either a gall crab or vertemid snail.

this is definately not a vertemid snail for me. and the problem with a gall crab is that there is no burrow. the skin separates and then you see a semi hard shell I broke open the first one where I saw the corals skeleton. I havent seen anything anything moving. I'm reluctant in breaking the second one in the fear that it will keep reapearing.

anyone know what this is? is it natural or a pest?

what are your tank parameters?

I would do a dip and move it to lower light, just going by the photo it is too bright

I am not an expert by any means but what is the coral to the right of that coral? Could it be being stung?

Yes it looks like tissue is receding. However in the middle of the polyp??? also is there normally some kind of shell with these corals? you can see in the photo a very thin shell and then the skelleton below it. On the first recession that occured I crackedthrough the shell to inspect only to see bare skelleton. Please advise.

I have it pretty low in my tank already but my tank is 18" deep so shallow reef. I will move it to the sand...
