Acan frag with aptasia on it

I bought an acan frag and noticed it had aptasia on the skeleton. Does coral rx kill aptasia? How long can this frag survive in a bowl of tank water without filtration or light? This would be while I'm waiting to get some sort of coral dip. Probably be around 24-48 hours. Any suggestions of what to do with it in the mean time?

Try using a razor blade & scrape off

Cut it off and burn it with a torch.

Make sure you get it all! Best way is to cut the piece it is attached on off. If you leave, even a very small piece, it will grow back.

Depending on how close the Aiptasia is to the polyps, I would burn it off as well. This only takes a few seconds to do with either a small butane torch or cigarette lighter.

It was close to the polyps so I cut it off with a razor blade then heated a paper clip red hot and burnt the area multiple times. Fingers crossed.

Get a syringe and pure lemon juice. Works wonders.

It's gone, we shall see if anything else appears. Now time to deal with the flatworms haha.
