Hi Everyone,

I have a colony of Acans that are encroaching on an Acro and I want to cut off some heads. All the videos I see online have people taking the rock out of the water and using either a bandsaw of a dremel. has anyone fragged one in the tank? the colony is growing across 2 large rocks.

You won't be able to frag in your tank unless you have a chisel. Then you run the risk of contaminating your tank because of the metal. Or slipping and busting the glass.

Yeah neither of the options sound fun. I guess I'll see how things pan out in the future. There's still some time before they touch.

Keep in mind that even though it will be some time before they touch, the acan lord will extend sweeper tentacles.

Worse comes to worse, you can always just kill a few heads with mall paste or something similar. I know it's not ideal, but better than losing the acro if you value it

Best bet is to move the Acro now and give the space to the Acan. If that rock has much mass to it you've got a higher chance of killing the Acan by trying to frag it unless you have a good bandsaw.

Agree acro is on a plug and should be easy to move

Move the across +1

The only way in my eyes it to either try and pry up the original frag wish is the riskier route or you could cut the whole rock if it is small enough.
