Acclimation Box

Mike, Terry and ED, Tyler at elite aquatics is awesome. I got my ATO containers from him. I was very pleased with all aspects. I also love my 4coral box too though.

Judging from this thread, it doesn't sound like he is very awesome at all...At least not in the sense of fulfilling orders.

That is good to hear Brett... we really liked the look of the 4corals acclimation box, but that's just not an option now. I'm sure we'll have a much better outcome with Elite Aquatics. :)

Just my experience, take it how you want. I don't have any affiliation with him at all. I ordered through Elite Aquatics cause Brad recommended them and I had a great experience and will definitely order from them again.

Just talked with Tyler - what a nice guy! He's going to make a custom sized box for me (12"x6"x6") this weekend.

Tyler at Elite Aquatics did a fantastic job as this box is not only slick-looking, but it is built like a tank! And, he built and shipped this in a matter of days...

:D

Not to steal a thread away, but would a box such as the one pictured, or the idea with the tupperware container, be of any use as an "in tank" refugium? JW. Really nice looking Acclimation box by the way, Elite Aquatics did a sweet job!

Wow. ! This is nice ! How does it attach to the tank ? Is that a clip on the other side ?

less than $10 at Petco...drill some add'l holes in it, for more cross-flow, throw in some PVC pipe for fish to 'hide' in... works PERFECT!

Nothing wrong with the Petco box... We decided to purchase the new acclimation box after one of our fish cut his lip on one of the holes we drilled in our old modified do-it-yourself box.

I used my dremel/sander to smooth out the edges...(inside and outside)

It was $55 plus $18 for shipping because I asked for it to be expedited. And yes, it is some heavy duty acrylic! We're really pleased and it should last a very long time. :D
