So I ordered a regal angelfish online recently, and it's supposed to come this Tuesday. The thing is I'm not sure how to acclimate it. I've done some research and they are definitely very sensitive fish, and I don't want to stress it through improper acclimation. That would make me lean towards drip acclimation. However I have also know that when fish are shipped the ammonia they produce becomes ammonium due to the lower ph, and drip acclimating them will cause it to turn back to ammonia, which would be lethal. So that would make me want to float to temp equalize, remove a cup of water, add a cup of water, wait 10 mins, and do it one more time. This way the ammonia shouldn't be able to get to toxic levels. Is this the right way to go about acclimating my new Regal?
