Achilles tang with one cloudy eye

Hi

My Achilles Tang has cloudy eye on one side and it has been persistent for a good 2-3 weeks now.

No other fishes exhibit this symptom and there is no ich issue in the tank.

The AT is feeding crazily and is not in hiding at all...

I am just wondering if it's flukes or bacterial infection. I have been feeding nori sheet everyday and also soaked pellets with Selcon.

Please advise

was it qt'd? Is it easily catch-able to try a fresh dip for flukes? Any scratching against objects from him or other fish in the tank?

There is an anti bacterial reef safe caviar you could try if you rule out flukes. I believe it has a mix of kanamycin and metronidazole. I might give that a try, just feed very small amounts so that all that you put in is eaten by the fish. You don't want extra pieces to land on coral and such.

Interesting. What is the name of this product?

no scratching on the rocks....

I tried Dr G's anti bacterial carviar...all fishes gobble it up except this AT. It will not touch it.

But the AT feeds on nori, pellet and mysis
