Acoel Flatworms: What steps needed to rid them?

I've recently transferred over all my frags from my QT to my new display. Noticed four of them on the glass Sunday and killed them. Didn't know what they were then. After more research I've pretty much narrowed them down to Acoel FW's. Thankfully not AEFW's but still a nuisance. They have since multiplied fast and I saw about 20-30 on the glass before leaving for work today.

What steps do you guys reccomend I tank to rid my tank of them. Seems like peroxide dosing and picking up some wrasses seem to be the only thing out there on getting rid of these.

Anyone have experience dealing with these?

either go through the process of flatworm exit or leave them be and keep water quality good . By keeping water good the number go down dramaticly and hardly ever see them . target mandarines eat them they really won't hurt anything

I would never recommend or advocate a Dragonet of any kind of "pest control" and most of them won't even eat acoel flatworms.

I've had flatworms from time to time, but usually keeping good water quality causes their populations to diminish and eventually crash entirely.

Flatworm Exit is a waste of time IME. They always came back eventually even with increased dosages. I have found that damsels of the genus Chrysiptera will eat them. I also had a bluestripe pipefish that relished them.

They seem to come and go like a small algae bloom. I don't let them bother me and they don't seem to bother anyone in the tank either.

I have a pair of Blue Star Leopard Wrasses that spend all day every day hunting amongst the rocks for any and all pesky little things to munch on. Until I got them I had tried manual removal and 2 doses of FWE to no avail. Within a week of LW #1 there were no more FW's to be found.

Just recently won a battle against these guys. Flatworm exit did nothing for me even after a second attempt with a double dose. I focused on increasing my water changes and all around getting my water cleaner and added a melanarus wrasse to my tank. In about a month I went from seeing 200 of these guys on the glass everyday to only seeing 4-5 every few days.

Right on thanks guys! Plan on picking up a Six-Line and Melanurus Wrasse since my tank isn't stocked yet besides one Clown and my Helfrich Fire fish. And I'll up my water changes from every other week to ever week for the time being.

Bad idea. Choose the Melanurus. I wouldn't recommend the six line. Don't even think about getting both :)

The result you get when you mix a bit of bat $hit with a little ape $hit is the six line wrasse.
