I got this at work the other day for the steal price of 15.00. Thats because of the dead area you see to the right. I dont know what kind of acro it is and also will it repopulate the dead area or should i just cut it off.

I would remove the dead bits, as the coral will not recover them. They can be used for a more certain ID of the coral! It looks like A. nana, A. valida or possibly A. cerealis.
