Seriously now, Is there some kind of prerequisite to living in Canada, to have great photography skills?? LOL Nice pics! and tank is looking good also. What is the 1st coral in post 442? I like it.

Tank is good, tried to send you PM, but don't have enough posts yet:hammer:

Good to hear, you can PM me on OVAS.. I dont check very often but I still drop in there just to see what everyone is up too.

Thank you, It took me awhile to arrange the rocks to my tastes and to be honest, I am eyeing one rock right now. Its been lookin at me funny. Its days may be numbered....

Thanks for the compliment, very humbling :D

That is what I assume to be an A. plana. At least thats what it looked like in the Coral Library.. What do you think of the name Palm Breeze? (I'm open to suggestions) If you are lucky I will sent it state side with poutine LOL

During last nights tank inspection, I noticed that one of my mari acros had a small patch of RTN just under one of the tips. I pulled it out to frag the tip off and inspected the coral for pests. Of course I find a baby sps eating crab... its so small it fits on one strand of a towel!!

This morning when I woke up, half the colony had RTN'd.. bummer. I have fragged the remaining branches but it doesnt look promising. Fingers crossed I can save a piece. :headwally:

sorry to hear about that colony.....we have all been there but I doubt it was the crab that caused it to RTN. Sometimes that just happens, especially with wild or maricultured corals.

I agree with you and it does seem to just be a fluke RTN. There is another acro on that plug that is going great. Likely the crab didnt help anything and surly was munching on the tissue. It is almost completely gone now. I have one branch fragged that looks OK but we will see. The northern delight is sprouting a new branch where it was cut! :)

All around good news lately. The tank is doing well, no losses since the mari RTN. Noticing more growth which is nice.

We found out the sex of the baby, its a GIRL! Amanda is going crazy, buying all kinds of baby stuff while I try to stay out of the way and hide behind the fish tank ;) I have to go register for the baby shower next weekend... wish me luck lol!

Here are a couple shots I took yesterday. If yall are lucky maybe ill take a coral shot or two later :)

Its snowing!! lol marine snow that is :)

your photography and tank are awesome!

Thank you very much

Well I guess I spoke too soon earlier. Tonights photo shoot was cut short when Amanda told me to take her to the hospital due to some sharp pains. Everyone was worried that she had a miscarriage, really had my heart racing :worried: Then after about 5 painful (silent) minutes with the Doppler thingy we heard the heartbeat! :bounce1: Phew scary business. Anyway, now that all has settled and Ive had a glass of the hard stuff Ive taken the time to edit some of the photos I was taking. They are OK but I really wanted to get some with better focus... maybe tomorow.

Thanks bud. I have yet to set up a true PP program... Im being lazy. Right now I use a combo of Windows Live Photo Gallery, MS Paint and occasionally Photobucket to edit photos.

Gotcha. That sunset monti is stunning - glad to see your prostrata looks happy, in 12 months it will be enormous if it grows in your tank like it does mine!
