Man this stinks, you guys have much better luck than me with the blue eyes...Oh well, ill keep trying to get them on pellet. THey are getting MUCH less timid and will devour bloodworms at the surface even. GOod luck guys! Nice to see others with this beautiful fish.

if u don't mind, i can share my humble trick

the other time i posted a thread on this forum and someone was really helpful to point out those little evils are nocturnal

so afterwards, i always try to feed'em at night when lightin switches off. first allure'em with pe mysis and after they chase pe mysis, blend pe mysis with pellets, and little by little, they will be acceptin pellets. then release'em to dt and try to feed'em by pipetting some pellets to where they hide. slowly they would accept pellets in dt

12 posts in and no photos!! something must be done about this. Maybe too crazy with photo shop? :)

Hey woodhill, thats good advice and I knowthey are nocturnal but mine dont seem to want to eat at night...basically mine will eat any frozen and will grab a few pellets by accident. THey eat fine but the problem is just that they are so shy that they wait til everyone else is done eating then they feel its their turn. THis just adds too much food to the tank. Overtime they have started to be more and more aggressive at feeding time so im sure things will work out in the end. THank you for helping! Ill keep trying to feed them at night.

got my supply of boxing day salt and a few goodies. If all goes according to plan I should have some new SPS soon! In the mean time I have added a yellow fin red bar fairy wrasse, two hybrid clowns that were too sweet to pass up, a try color wrasse that was DOA :( an octo spawn and a wicked new red with white polyp gorg! Finding the right SPS can be challenging around here some times. I've also picked up a Reef Brite XHO blue LED light and its awesome! Im loving the blue shimmer it gives the tank and the colors are poppin'!

The elegance coral has taken a turn for the worse doesn't look promising. I otta stick to what I'm good at... STICKS!

sorry about the pic sizes, I'm still trying to figure it all out.

Some new additions are looking good so I snapped a few pics. I need to go on an SPS binge and pack the tank with sticks before its too late... :D

Ugh, feel your pain. Sadly the female died today... Same thing happened in the last set up... ergh

Glad to see you are on to doing fun stuff like shopping for new corals.
Instead of moving and battling hair algea.

You're definately on a roll again.
Tank's looking great.

You said it! Although not outta the woods yet, still battling some algae and some cyano but no big deal just need to step it up a bit. The SPS are growing well though and Im happy to be back at it! Thanks for the post, keeps me encouraged.

Just saw two of the anthias battling it out with some good old fashion lip locking! I haven't seen that since my freshwater days. Oh how little things amuse me :lolspin:

It is really cool to watch I agree. They really get into it all gladiator style.
Would love to catch a photo of it, or video better yet.
My Chromis really go at it like that a lot too.
:)
