Acropora lokani

So the other day I bought a couple colonies of what I thought were a.loripes. But after spending some time on the "google machine" I find they look much more like a.lokani. IIRC they are proposed to be added as an endangered species. Kinda curious how this will play out. Should I post pics proving ownership or just keep my mouth shut.

This here is a lokani

Thats in a tabling form tho, agreed mine looks nothing like that one but if u look up 20,000 leagues lokani that is branching not tabling it is a dead ringer (even getting the green base). My loripes has very different pylops as well much more pronounced, both my (possible lokani) and the one pictured have very subtle pylops.. Maby I'll throw it up on the ID section

They are proposing it. Dosen't mean its gonna happen. You know how many times they have proposed this same exact thing? It seems about every 4 years they come with this same BS. So far it hasen't past.

I could definitely be wrong, but it doesn't look like a lokani to me because of the polyps being everywhere instead of just the tips.

Thanks big E. u can definently see some flat spots on my pics, but the corals growth is so compact and thick it's hard to tell. I'll post up some pics in a month or two and take another look. Deffinently could be rosaria, color seems right too. still just a rather colorless wild piece.

just for reference... this is A. Lokani ... (my favorite colony in my tank)
