ADA cube garden 75-P

Tank looks really nice. I love the look of a rimless tank. The fixture has great style too and I like the rack as well. Where are the fish? Are the pictures with just the actinics or are you running a 20K bulb?

I notice you have the stream in the deco rock. How is the single controller set? I like to keep mine cranked all the way up but then I have to be careful not to place any corals too close to it.

Thanks all. The overflow is from Lifereef. Jeff made the internal box smaller. The water returns via a 3/4 flare nozzle over the edge. The return sits right in front of one of the T-slot tubings for the light. You can see it in the second picture of the first post. As for fish I just put a yellow coris wrasse in today. Gotta also find something to eat some of the algae. The pics are with Actinic + bulbs on. The Megachrone runs during the day and it's usually off by the time I get around to doing tank stuff at night. The stream is set to pulse 100%-25% with a fairly short interval. The Tunze is in the deco rock on the right. I just piled it on top of some other rocks that gave it the height and angle I was looking for.

Looks like a very cool setup. With those four T5 bulbs you can do a lot more than just actinic. Try the combo of 2 ATI blue plus, 1 fiji purple and 1 actinic. That will give you a lot of PAR (which is helpful since you've only got a 150w MH) and that combo just looks really cool.

Thanks for the tip on the T5 bulb combo.
I gave it a little thought but the fixture came with bulbs and I didn't want to lay out another $80-100 for new T5's. I'm gonna give these a try for at least a few months before I switch them out.

Great looking setup Ben. When you told me you setup an ADA, I wasn't quite sure what that was so it's nice to have some pics to see it. I love how simple everything is. Looking forward to seeing some of the coral pics when you get a chance. And that Geissman light is NICE!!

And I agree with mccliffy, when it comes time to change your T5's definitely throw a Fiji purple in there. You will be amazed with how well it pulls out pinks and reds. If you can ever find a frag of the Darth Maul porites, it would light up big time...lol : )

Craig

Great looking tank how about adding some turbos to help with the algae problem?? Got any more pictures of the corals you have in the tank.
How about some shots of the nano.

Thanks Craig.
Now given your taste in corals, if you think the Darth Maul porites would look good under a Fiji purple, I'll have to find one.
If you know where to get the Darth Maul porites, PM me.

Thanks ReefWho?
I'm trying to let the corals color back up before I get some pics. With my pic skills, taking them now would not do them justice.

BTW thats a interesting looking stand where did you get that?
And whats the current stocking list of sps? and to get pieces?

The stand is a garage cabinet from here:
http://www.walltowallstorage.com/catalog/item/3926979/3658798.htm

I was able to save some SPS, luckily a few were my long time favorite SPS pieces:
superman danae
jedi mind trick
pink sand dollar
sunset
a few other encrusting montis
ultimate stag
icefire
small frag of oregon tort
small frag of shades of fall
a few milles
a couple deep waters

Also as things were on the decline, a buddy took a few pieces and was able to save them as well.

I envision these taking months to regain their color.
PM me with what you're looking for, might be able to hook you up through others with the same pieces.

That tank is awsome, I always wanted one for my fresh water planted setups. I would keep an eye on your alk or kh, as your corals grow bigger I do not think weekly wc's will be able to keep up even if you do large ones. Also not to be a downer but I would want to know if someone else noticed that.... the stand is rated for 250#s and you have over 400#s on it. There could be a large safety factor built in, or you could be pushing it past its limits, I would look for signs of bowing by checking with a straight edge or level, or the legs being pushed into the frame or body, hopefully its not an issue.

Thanks and thanks for the advice.
I thought I saw somewhere it was rated for 400 pounds and did notice on the site I ordered from that it was rated to 250#'s. When I was leak testing it the top did bow a bit so I ended up reinforcing the stand and it's fine now. Doesn't rack left to right anymore either.

So I thought I'd start off the pics with my favorie non-SPS jst to get it out of the way and because I took a couple pics of it this morning. Hope to get some time to get a few pics of the SPS and some daylight shots later today.

Some of the SPS. They've stopped receding. Most have daytime polyps. Now just gotta wait for them to color up.

Left side with most of the SPS.
