Adam's new 215gal Oceanic in wall!!

Hello Adam I'm in the middle of a 215 in wall myself. I don't think you want to use foam under these tanks. All the weight is carried around the edges. I would call Oceanic to verify. I'll be following along for ideas. Here's a pic of where I'm at now.

Good job 68sting!

next update:

plumbing ready! From Reflo Dart I split flow into the tank , skimmer and one additional "T" for water changes and maybe sea swirl.

Now time for water test, and test how good plumber I am

I really like the idea of the tile 1/2 way up the wall. 68sting is definatly right the glass tanks distribute all thier weight to the outside edges.
Everything else looks to be coming along nicely.

thanks Crazy One,

After resealing one part of the skimmer, job is done!!

When I turn pump on, that was scary, the flow is unbelievable , and looks to me like it is too strong compared to overflows.

But now I have to figure out something, what about sea swirl`s?? I did 2 additional 1" valve`s, so maybe I could use it for 2x1' sea swirl?
Anybody using sea swirl??

I am using two 1" sea swirls on my new tank, they are nice but I have had to send both in for reapir already and it has only been 2 months

Adam,
Did you look into OM4 or OM8 way with revolutions? If not take a look at it. That is what I am using and loving. It gives you very rendom flow.

update:
OK, when I open valve to the skimmer, flow is much better.

How can I avoid noise from overflow? The air is going down with the water down to sump, make loud noise (gurgling flushing) inside the sump, and one of the overflows (this one with shorter line to sump), on the tank part also makes noise - water going up and down inside overflow (also gurgling flushing). Is this normal?? Or should I install valves on the overflow lines?

Filter socks made huge difference. It is still not quiet but much better. Now filling up with RO water, probably next 2 weeks I `ll be done :)
Here is a pic after 2 days

Looks great. You are flying with all the work. How are you going to finish the front of the tank?
I have two ideas, one just with some molding around to hide the frame of the tank, and the other one with molding and stone all over this part of the wall.

update:
so far with filling up with water
