Tank is ready for LR, but: bubbles, bubbles, bubbles . Is it to much flow going through skimmer?? It is MRC-3R, and I have "T" from return pump, so I am not sure how much flow is there?

Question: Should I put anything on the bottom of the tank before I put Live Rock? For example, an egg crate?

Adam,

Tank and room is coming along nicely. For your gurgling sound in the overflows you can easily build Hofer Gurgle Buster I have two of these in my corner overflow for my 120g and they work great. Easy to build and easy to tune for zero noise once they are in the tank.

No, you dont need to put anything on the bottom of the tank. Place your rock on the bottom first then add sand, that way you avoid burrowing fish from digging out sand and collapsing the rockwork.

Again looks great.

Matt

Thanks averyone,I hope you guys stay with my build, because it keeps me motivated to finish faster :)

Last week I bought 160lbs of live sand and 200lbs of LR,but I decided to put 150lbs more of LR. So far looks like this

One of the fastest builds I have ever seen. Top notch so far. Love the look. I like the stone on the wall idea.

Tried my best, but now it's a little bit slow because of new LR and work work work. I didn't decided what kind of stone I will use.

Everything looks awesome. When it is completed it will be the talk of your house I am sure.

Thanks,
No problem, we don't have to wait till it is completed :)

Filter socks made huge difference. It is still not quiet but much better. Now filling up with RO water, probably next 2 weeks I `ll be done :)
Here is a pic after 2 days

Great build....love the tank. If you run the pipe well below the water surface inside the sock it will cut down on a lot of the noise and bubbles. To avoid the gurgle you may need to add in a stand pipe (herbie style) inside the overflow.
